The Wolf Among Us 2 Gets 2027 Release Window at Summer Game Fest

Telltale and co-publisher PM Studios have revealed The Wolf Among Us 2, bringing the long-awaited continuation of the Fabletown saga back into view after its Summer Game Fest appearance. The narrative thriller, inspired by the Fables comic series from DC’s Vertigo imprint, is planned for release in 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The announcement also came with The Wolf Among Us Remastered, a new version of the original 2013 game set to launch digitally this Holiday 2026. The remaster will be available for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, with Xbox Series X|S support through backward compatibility. Physical editions are also planned for later in the holiday season.Set after the events of the first game, The Wolf Among Us 2 returns to Fabletown, the secret community where figures from fairy tales and folklore live hidden inside modern New York. The sequel follows a city already under pressure, with Snow White trying to hold things together as older conflicts and new criminal forces begin pressing against Fabletown’s fragile order. Bigby Wolf returns as sheriff, once again placed at the center of a dangerous investigation. This time, a violent string of crimes threatens to split Fabletown apart, pulling Bigby toward a conspiracy rooted in the city’s underworld. As suspicion spreads and powerful enemies move against him, Bigby is forced to chase the truth while confronting what kind of sheriff, and what kind of wolf, he is willing to be.

Before the sequel arrives, The Wolf Among Us Remastered will give players another way to experience Bigby’s first case. Players will investigate crimes, interrogate suspects, and make choices that shape the direction of the noir thriller. The remastered release features enhanced visuals, updated character and environment presentation, a refreshed user interface, improved accessibility features, and technical upgrades for animation, audio, resolution, and framerate. It will also include more than an hour of bonus material, including behind-the-scenes videos, cast interviews, image galleries, and deleted scenes. Telltale CEO Jamie Ottilie said the remaster was designed to preserve the original experience while introducing Bigby and Fabletown to new players. Ottilie also said The Wolf Among Us 2 gives the studio a chance to move Fabletown’s story forward while staying connected to what fans have valued about the series.

The Wolf Among Us Remastered launches digitally this Holiday 2026, while The Wolf Among Us 2 is planned for 2027. Telltale and PM Studios said more updates will be shared in the coming months.
