The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set to be one of the biggest games and most anticipated games of 2015, and today CD Projekt dropped the game’s PC hardware requirements.
The Witcher games have been known to push graphical boundaries, which, combined with their complex gameplay and mature storytelling, make them especially popular with PC gamers. In other words, you will need a beast of a computer to play The Witcher 3 in all its visual splendor. This should come as no surprise to anyone who has been looking at gameplay video and screenshots of the game. Besides boasting some of the most eye-watering graphics in the industry, The Witcher 3 will take place in a massive open world, rivaling the likes of Skyrim in terms of size. The game is also said to be loaded with over a hundred hours of gameplay, with the main story spanning the length of a novel.
At the very least, those in dire need of a hardware upgrade will have a fair amount of time to save up some cash, as The Witcher 3 was recently delayed from its original February release date to May 19.
Last month, CD Projekt also revealed that, for the first time in the series, players will be able to take on the role of a second player character, a female swordfighter named Ciri (pictured above). A skilled warrior with a mysterious superpower, Ciri is apparently being targeted by the Wild Hunt, and protagonist Geralt of Rivia must get to her before it’s too late. The developer has plans to reveal more about her in the coming months.
