A fun arcade style Walking Dead game has been in the works by Trailmark Games and Odaclick Game Studio. The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival, based off AMC’s adaptation, has three iconic playable characters: Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, and Michonne. Each character has their ironic weapon from the show: Rick’s magnum, Daryl’s crossbow, and Michonne’s katana.
It is a beat ’em up that challenges players to fight their way through walker infests tunnels and navigating hostile strongholds. The main premise of the game follows the All Out War storyline, featuring a reimagining of the Saviors conflict in it’s campaign. This means that players who loved AMC’s The Walking Dead will get the chance to take their revenge out on Negan as he is one of the iconic bosses featured in the game.
Players will have the chance to explore environments from the show, which includes the Sanctuary, Hilltop, and Alexandria. There will be intense story-driven moments along with environmental hazards and threats that players will have to look out for.
On August 4th, the Trailmark Games team announced that the game is now available for pre-order and will be releasing September 18th. The base game’s price is set at $19.99 while the Deluxe Edition will cost $19.99. The Deluxe Edition includes an Arcade Apocalypse Pack, bonus weapon skins, and a premium Rick skin. It also has an exclusive game mode called Endless Survival mode, where players will face off against waves of enemies.
A Pre-Order Trailer was posted that same date, featuring a mix of 3D and 2D pixel graphics. The game also showcases the different types of walkers, stylized to closely resemble how they appear in the film adaptation.
Players interested in learning more about the game can share their questions via the publisher’s Discord server. Trailmark Games is also planning to host a Q&A with the developers on August 14th and started taking questions two days ago, so make sure to join for more information.
