The Talos Principle 2 will release November 2nd, developer Croteam has announced today. The direct sequel to 2014’s puzzler with a compelling philosophical narrative will arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The game will cost $30, and those who pre-order before November 2nd will receive a 10% pre-order discount.
Along with the announcement came a brand new trailer showing more of what players can expect from the puzzler. There are familiar tools seen from the first game such as jammers and light beacons, along with new ones that will radically alter gameplay.
Much like the 2014 title, The Talos Principle 2 will have players solve challenging puzzles to unravel the mystery of how mankind went extinct, with human-like robots taking on the biggest philosophical questions around.
Croteam has stated that The Talos Principle 2 will be exponentially larger than its predecessor, with expansion on mind-bending environmental puzzles. Fans will remember that some of the most rewarding aspects to The Talos Principle was when you went off the main path, and solved puzzles that went outside the confined areas of the mainline puzzles.
2014’s The Talos Principle was widely acclaimed for the increasingly challenging puzzles and the incredible story, along with multiple endings that gave players a chance to replay the game again with a different viewpoint.
