The Steam Winter Sales Event Has Arrived

It’s everyone’s favorite time of the year, and what better way to celebrate the holidays than by filling up your hardrive with insanely cheap PC games? The Steams Sales Events are some of the most hotly anticipated video game promotions of all time, with a plethora of AAA games being given huge discounts. The time has come for yet another one of these, this time with the Steam Winter Sales Event.

The event is filled to the brim with over 15,000 games up for grabs. In addition, Valve is also running a special promotion to go along with the Winter Sale. Dubbed the Extremely Cozy Cottage of Surprises, where every day that you visit the store you can open up a door where you’ll receive special items such as emotes, wallpapers, and in-game items for Steam games. Going through all 15,000 games would take longer than the event itself, so we went ahead and picked out a few that we think are worth picking up.

Let’s start off with some 2018 games, as Hitman 2, an excellent stealth game, is on sale for $41.99, a 30% discount, and Monster Hunter: World is available for $39.59, at a 34% price cut. Yakuza 0 has been discounted to $13.39, which is 33% off, as well as the insanely hard strategy game XCOM 2, which has an equally insane 75% price cut for $14.99. Assassins Creed Odyssey is available for $29.99, a 50% discount, and the popular Zed killing multiplayer game Killing Floor 2 is a mere $9.90, a 67% discount.

An honorable mention for this sale is the Valve Complete Pack, which is a collection every single game that Valve has developed and published. If you have never played any of these PC gaming classics, this is the best chance to get them. At $12.68, which is a ridiculous 91% discount, you can’t go wrong. The Steam Winter Sales Event officially starts today, going all the way through Thursday, January 3.
