The Sims 4 To Host First Virtual Music Festival

Generally, the discussion of music festivals brings to mind hot summer days spent seeing your favorite artists live, experiencing the concert environment with loved ones, and living in the present moment. From June 29 to July 7, Sims in The Sims 4 can share in that adventure, with EA’s newly announced Sims Sessions. The characters will get to enjoy a true festival experience, with merchandise booths, camping tents, and a stage on which to gather around and even preform after the show is over.

Headlining the concert will be Grammy-nominated star Bebe Rexha, who will be joined by Glass Animals and Joy Oladokun. According to EA, Rexha will be debuting a new song in Simlish (the made up language Sims speak) at this event. Nearly 500 popular artists have remade hits in Simlish, but this is the first time a song will be debuted live in-game. Glass Animals and Joy Oladokun, unfortunately, seem to be singing their songs in regular English.

The show itself is not limited to The Sims 4 game, either. The Sims Sessions with Bebe Rexha will be hosting a karaoke challenge on social media platform TikTok. Fans can upload videos of themselves singing side by side with Rexha in Simlish while using the tag #SimlishSessions for a chance to interact with the star. Parts of the show will also be hosted on Twitter and Instagram as well as TikTok, for fans of the artists who don’t necessarily want to attend the concert in the game. Sims Sessions is free to anyone who owns The Sims 4 and wants their Sims to have an unforgettable summer.
