Croatian developer Ironward, looked to Kickstarter back in March in order to fund their upcoming Sci-Fi, 8-player co-operative survival action/strategy game set on distant-future Mars, during great storm known as The Red Solstice. It had a goal of $50,000 and surpassed that goal, ending on April 20th with $60,836. Got word today from publisher Nkidu Games, that The Red Solstice will be making its way to PC via Steam Early Access on July 10th.
In The Red Solstice, it will offer players 8-player co-op play, where you can take control of one of 8 space marines, which you and your squad mates are trying to figure out what happened to human colonies in the huge storm on Mars. The gameplay will have you go for about an hour for every session on randomly generated battlegrounds, which players need to scavenge the planet for supplies, fortify your base, and then fight against the massive amount of monsters, while also trying to save the survivors. Players will be given a choice between 8 different player classes, and will be able to customize equipment’s, and much more.

Key features in the game include:
- Learn from your mistakes to improve your approach
- Use wits and tactical decisions to gain victory
- Act as a leader of your squad
- Survive randomly generated events
- Earn experience, unlock new weapons/skills and customize your marine
- Play as one of 8 distinct classes, each with its own playstyle
