The Long Awaited Townscaper is Coming to Mobile Tomorrow, October 20th

The hit game Townscapers is going to be released for mobile tomorrow, October 20th, 2021 on both iOS and Android devices. The game was originally released on Steam in 2020 for both PC and Mac then later on Nintendo Switch in August of this year. Throughout every release, it has received very positive reviews from its players.

Published in a collaboration between Bad North and Raw Fury, Townscaper is purely creative game. There is no competitive aspect to the gameplay and has even been described as “more of a toy than a game” by its head developer, Oskar Stålberg. Instead of playing to win or lose you will be able to craft any sort of town, city, or suburb that can possibly be imagined. Share your creations with others so they can appreciate your hard work and unique town ideas and appreciate the beauty of other players’ towns as well. The game features a minimalist art style and satisfying clicks when blocks are placed to relax its players and get the creative juices flowing.

First, decide the color of the house you wish to place from a palette of calm pastels, and then decide where you want to place it. There is a limitless amount of designs to be made. Go for a functional town with enough houses for everyone or mess around with formation and shape. Below is the announcement trailer to give a better idea of just how far you can let your imagination run free.

The secret to this relaxing game is the sophisticated algorithm hidden beneath the surface that enables the game to quickly generate stairs, bridges and gardens from nothing but the player’s choice of house placement. Townscaper can be downloaded from the App Store and on Google Play for $3.99 and is specifically recommended for tablets.
