The Lies of P Demo Has Been Downloaded More Than 1 Million Times

It looks like a lot of people were interested in developer Round8 Studio and publisher Neowiz Games’ Lies of P. The game was given a much more detailed look at the Summer Game Fest 2023 event, in which it was also revealed that the title would be getting lengthy demo that was available right then. That demo, which can be seen here, was downloaded more than a whopping one million times in less than three days since it went live.

In addition, the studio also revealed that the title was one of the most viewed games on Twitch, peaking at roughly 170 thousand viewers. They also showed that Lies of P was one of the biggest trending topics on the Twitter platform, one of the top 3 worldwide in fact. It also helps that the demo has been received generally well thus far, which is a great indication of how the title will fare when it launches later this year.

All of these statistics are only good news for the studio so far, and putting out the demo with a fully playable build further emphasized the anticipation for Lies of P. As we’ve already mentioned, Lies of P is a dark/horror take on the story of Pinocchio. The game plays very similar to the Soulsborne franchise that was made famous by From Software, with some modifications to give it a unique twist. The demo features the first two chapters of the game, which includes numerous boss fights and areas to explore.

Lies of P launches this year on September 19 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/Series S, and PC. The demo is still live, which you can check out until June 27.
