It was announced on January 23rd by the indie developer INTI Creates that the game Umbraclaw is on its way to gaming platforms this year. The game will be released on May 30th on platforms such as Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam. Along with releasing the launch date for the game they also released the Release Date trailer for the game.
Umbraclaw is an action game that is being developed and published by INTI Creates. According to Gematsu, there will be demo for the game that will be “available during the Steam Next Fest February 2024 Edition”.In the game, the story of a house cat named Kuon is being told. Kuon is on a “journey” in the “afterlife” called the “Soulplanes” which is the realm of the dead.
To get back home to her owner she has to “challenge the perilous underworld”. How Kuon’s story ends depends on the “choices and the actions of the player”. In the Umbraclaw the “Anima Revive brings Kuon back with new skills by absorbing the soul of another animal thus increasing her survival skills”. The “animal skills” include animals such as the lion, crow, and Tyrannosaurus.
- Lion- The Lion’s roar unleashes a close -range shockwave attack
- Crow- The Crow’s wings grant 1 mid-air jump
- Tyrannosaurus – Transform into a Tyrannosaurus, unleashing a powerful roar that deals massive damage to everything around.
“After a repeated death” Kuon will turn into humanoid when she “absorbs a human soul”.Kuon has nine lives so “she can only revive up to nine times”.So players if you are interested in this game don’t worry because you don’t have a long wait to go.
