The last reveal of The Game Awards 2023 has been shown, and it’s arguably the most exciting one of the night! Capcom has, at long last, unveiled a brand new Monster Hunter mainline title! Monster Hunter Wilds. The title’s trailer alone looks to take the series back to the style of Monster Hunter Worlds, which many still consider to be the best entry in the franchise. The title is slated to launch sometime in 2025 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/Series S, and PC.

The trailer shows a hunter riding through a desert like terrain, similar to Monster Hunter 4. The hunter rides through the landscape while a sandstorm suddenly appears. The hunter then rides around the pack of monsters while lighting strikes down upon the area, and then proceeds to platform onto the top of a cliff to look over the area. The familiar music then start to play, letting you know that this is indeed a mainline Monster Hunter title. A Ratholos, the signature dragon monster of the series, then swoops from the sky yelling into the air.
Monster Hunter Wilds will launch sometime in 2025 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/Series S, and PC. More information will be available in Summer 2024.
