The 2022 edition of The Game Awards has come to a close, and it was another strong year for the event. There were plenty of reveals, announcements, moments and, obviously, awards given away. The event showcased just how strong of a year 2022 was in video games despite a slew of delays of a plethora of major titles. Thus, let’s get into the results and winners of the event.
The biggest award, Game of the Year, went to FromSoftware’s Elden Ring. The mega hit game also won three other awards as well for Best RPG, Best Art Direction, and Best Game Direction. Elsewhere, God of War Ragnarok which was nominated the most of any game at this year’s event, won the most awards tonight with wins in six different categories including Innovation in Accessibility, Best Performance for Christopher Judge as Kratos, Best Action/Adventure Game, Best Audio Design, Best Score/Music, and Best Narrative.
