The Forgotten City Remake Will Be Released in 2019 on PC as an Independent Game.

At the PC gaming showcase in E3 this year, Modern Storyteller announced that The Forgotten City remake would be released in 2019 on PC as an independent game. Initially, as mod in Elder Scrolls V, The Forgotten City has already ensured a large number of players, who are looking forward to solving time travel murder mysteries in the epic mythological world of high fantasy in this upcoming remake.

As one of the most popular mods in Elder Scrolls V, the original award winning mod has been downloaded more than 1.6 million times. The story takes place in an ancient Roman underground city where because mysterious deaths occur, the fate of the innocent people in this city is in players hands. This remake redesigns characters and dialogues, battles systems, and wall climbing; features new soundtracks, and stunning visuals developed with Unreal Engine.

Let’s take a look at The Forgotten City demo in E3 2018:

MOD, the abbreviation for modification, is a modified or enhanced version by fans or official mod developers. They reprogram and redesign parts of the data settings in the original games, such as the character’s clothing, appearance, voiceover, weapons, tools, maps, and even create new tasks and stories, etc., so the mod game can produce substantial changes with improved visuals and playability. The popularity of many mods is as the same as that of their original game. For example, Counter-Strike and Victory Day are well-known mods of Half-Life series, and later got commercialized to the independent.

The Forgotten City on PC is coming in 2019 starting from $19.99.
