In the wake of the Rock Howard official announcement for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves it looks like we have news of Rock’s adopted father figure Terry Bogard, namely Terry’s appearance in Capcom’s flagship fighting game Street Fighter 6. It looks like Mr. Bogard will be featured at the Capcom booth at Gamescom 2024 at the end of August.
Terry Bogard in SF6 first playable demo at #Capcom booth on #Gamescom2024 !! He will be official in game in this autumn.
Still not sure about new info of #CotW but I hope new trailer should reveal in this event 👀🤞#SF6 #FatalFury #CotW_Terry #KOFXV_Terry pic.twitter.com/I3aTIOXaCv

This is somewhat surprising given the precedent set by Street Fighter 6, where there have been extremely large gaps of times between DLC characters, but it looks like season 2 might be moving at a bit of a faster pace. After the release of M. Bison to start Street Fighter 6’s season 2 at the end of June, it looks like Terry will soon be released if a playable version of Terry will be available so soon.
This might be a Terry centric event, for the fighting game community at least. As Rock’s City of the Wolves trailer was revealed yesterday, it would make sense that SNK would release Terry’s official trailer to go alongside his Street Fighter 6 showcase, as like Rock he has yet to have a trailer for the game.
It’ll be exciting to see how Terry interacts with the systems in Street Fighter 6. It’s become a bit of a meme among the fighting game community that Terry’s crouching medium punch looks like it would be a nightmare with the Drive System, and those memes would be incredibly correct that’s going to be terrifying.
It’s a good time to be a Terry Bogard fan, and a fan of SNK in general. It really looks like SNK is branching out as well as expanding with their collaborations with Capcom as well as their new releases with Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves coming soon, if you’re a fan of Power Geysers you’ll definitely be seeing more than you can handle soon.
