Telltale Games Reveals New Trailer for The Wolf Among Us 2, Game Will Release in 2023

Today, Telltale Games released a new trailer for The Wolf Among Us 2, the anticipated sequel to their hit detective noir series, The Wolf Among Us. The trailer starts with Bigby Wolf getting asked about his profession as a private investigator, where he describes the type of work he does depends on the night. He is then shown trailing his target at a motel, where he eventually barges into the motel room and finds himself among the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. As Bigby arrests the Scarecrow, a fight ensues between Bigby, the Tin Man, and the Scarecrow before Bigby turns into a werewolf because of his anger.

At the end of the trailer, Telltale reveals that The Wolf Among Us 2 will come out sometime in 2023 for PC and console platforms. It was also revealed that the game is being made using new in-game engine, Unreal Engine. The Wolf Among Us video game series is based on the DC Comics series Fables, where the fairy tale world coincides with the real world. The Wolf Among Us 2 will pick up six months after the events of season one in the initial game, following Bigby’s fall from Sheriff of Fabletown and his new partnership with NYPD Detective Faye Young. Season two will follow the same episodic format as the first game, but the episodes will be released every few weeks instead of every few months like the first season. Additionally, voice actors Adam Harrington and Erin Yvette will be reprising their roles as Bigby Wolf and Snow White, respectively.

Since their big update in December, Telltale has been relatively quiet about new information about The Wolf Among Us 2’s development despite fans practically watching their tweets for more news. In December, the development team had feature in Game Informer magazine, which entailed Telltale’s history as a development studio, the good and the bad, and some information regarding The Wolf Among Us 2’s development.

Although the set release date has yet to be revealed, and 2023 seems so far away, many fans remain excited as the series finally gets the revival it deserves.
