Telltale Drops Two Separate Trailers for The Finale Episode of Batman: The Enemy Within

The season finale episode of Telltale’s Batman: The Enemy Within is shaping up to be quite a doozy.  Comprised of over three and a half hours of content spread across two entirely distinct possible storylines, “Same Stitch” will be both the grand reveal of Telltale’s full-fledged Joker and the most ambitious piece of content the studio has ever produced.

Following up on the dramatic full-season recap trailer from last week, today’s release from Telltale shared not one but two brand new trailers for the game’s highly-anticipated finale.  The two separate trailers reflect the split nature of the episode itself, as players’ experiences of the episode will be very different depending on the choices they have made throughout the series up to this point.  Players have the possibility of squaring up with a familiar-yet-fresh take on the classic Villain Joker, or a unique and equally terrifying Vigilante Joker, whose twisted psyche has led him to team up with the Batman and fight by his side.

The first trailer shows the Joker in his classic role as Batman’s nemesis.  In this storyline, John Doe has had enough of your crap and is putting his wickedly devious mind to its maximum potential, wreaking havoc in Gotham and threatening to destroy everything Bruce Wayne holds dear.

The alternate trailer shows a very different possible outcome.  In this reality, John Doe has drawn inspiration from Batman as a role model and become a vigilante who swings from buildings, giggles about riding shotgun in the Batmobile, and comes to Batman’s rescue against overwhelming odds.  The Bats+Joker team up causes its own share of difficulties though, as old allies like Amanda Waller and Catwoman are forced to turn against Bruce and fight for what they believe is right.

Episode five of Batman: The Enemy Within, “Same Stitch”, launches March 27 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, and mobile.
