Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem To Receive Video Game Spin-Off

The newly released animated film starring the full host of ninja turtles will see video game based on the film. The new game will come from video game family specialist Outright Games and it will be set in the world of the animated film with which it shares the same name. The game is set to release in 2024 on both consoles and PC.

The game will take place just mere months after the culmination of the animated film and the art style of the video game will reflect the film’s painterly and eye-catching visual style. The events of the game will pick up directly after the events of the film and will see a new mutant threat. Players will be able to pilot familiar characters like Rocksteady as they fight the new mutant threat. Although not much has been announced about this new “mutant threat,” we do know that players will have to work together with the full squad of turtles in order to take down this new threat. The game will feature the full squad of the teenage mutant ninja turtles and the New York setting will be seen in the same painterly art style. Although there has yet to be a trailer for its release, concept art for the game has been revealed.

Doug Rosin, Senior Vice President of Games and Emerging Media at Paramount, says, “The vibrancy of this new film’s animation lends itself perfectly to video games, and we can’t wait for everyone to play it.” Additionally, IGN’s review of the film saw an 8/10 and they are quoted in that review which reads, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem oozes confidence, energy, and heart, and the animated adventure represents a new high for the Turtles on the big screen. Top-notch voice acting, anchored by Jackie Chan’s Splinter and four instantly lovable teen Turtles, plus a killer Reznor and Ross score ensure that Mutant Mayhem isn’t getting by on looks alone. Even if the superhero tropes the story plays with feel worn, the enthusiasm with which Mutant Mayhem tackles them always wins out.”

With such good scores for the film, fans should remain hopeful that the game will produce good scores as well.
