Earlier this morning Yusuke Tomizawa, the director for the newest title in the long-running Tales Of series, announced through a blog post that Tales of Arise would be delayed indefinitely. In the post, Tomizawa explained that the studio was facing development challenges as a result of the work-flow interruptions that came from the COVID-19 pandemic. Along with that Tomizawa explained how the company was adjusting to the pandemic, “while COVID-19 has affected some aspects of development, we’ve done our best to adapt to the situation and have implemented remote development capabilities for our team. However, we will need more time to achieve the quality and provide the gorgeous experience we envision for our players.” While development for Arise has not halted, the game’s release date will be moved to an unknown release date, with more information about a specific release window coming from Bandai Namco in the future.
