Sword Coast Legends is a Gamer’s Version of Dungeon and Dragons

Are you a Dungeon and Dragons player or have you wanted to try but just couldn’t get a group together for it? Even if Dungeons and Dragons isn’t your thing, you may still want to check out Sword Coast Legend. This game is like a combination of Dragon Age and Diablo, while trying to bring some familiarity from other games. This game looks like your traditional dungeon crawler, but there’s more here than meets the eye.

In Sword Coast Legend, that makes it more like D&D, is the fact you can have a Dungeon Master (DM) and four friends playing all at once. The DM can alter the adventure to keep it interesting for the four players and bring uniqueness to every adventure. If the game happens to catch your fancy but you don’t have friends that want to join you, well don’t worry, the game offers its own full story-driven single player campaign. The game also offers a function that allows you to pause the game and tell your NPCs exactly what to do. Sound familiar? It should, it’s a feature seen in Dragon Age, to give the player the option to be a little more tactical for the harder fights.

This will be pleasant news for you single player gamers: the ones writing the single player story of Sword Coast Legend were part of the team from Dragon Age: Origins. One can safely assume at this point that the story will be of epic proportions and have some comedy along the way. Now whenever you start your adventure, you can choose from five different races and six different classes to fit your play style.

Now don’t get too hyped yet; they have not announced an exact release date for this game, and all we have so far is that it will be released in 2015.
