Propnight is a co-op, survival horror game where you can play with four teammates as a survivor or play by yourself as a killer. The game was developed by Fntastic, an indie video game company based in Yakutsk, Russia, and published by MYTONA. Initially, Propnight was planned to release today, Nov. 30, for the PC. However, due to the game developers suffering from a hacker attack, the game plans to release on Dec. 1, 2021, at 10 AM PST. As mentioned in the link within the tweet below, the developers apologized for the game delay and are offering players a bonus skin as a gift.
Despite the unexpected setback, the game still looks promising and fun. As the player, you can take on the role of a survivor or a killer. If you choose to be a survivor, you can transform into a prop to hide from the killer. You can change into different objects that you find throughout the game by selecting the available items to blend into the environment. Your main objective is to repair the five propmachines throughout the game, so you and your teammates can successfully escape from the killer. Once you finish repairing all of the propmachines, you need to find the exit and unlock the door to escape. If you happen to get caught by the killer, they will put you in the hypnochair. Once you are trapped in the hypnochair, you have a certain amount of time to get rescued by a teammate until you succumb to hypnosis, and you only get two chances to survive from the hypnochair.
If you choose to be a killer, you will hunt for the four survivors by yourself. Your main objective is to prevent the survivors from successfully fixing the propmachines. You can stop the survivors by hitting and knocking them down with your killer’s unique abilities. Once the survivors are unable to walk, you can snatch them up and put them into the hypnochair. You can also delay the survivors’ progress by damaging the propmachines.
Fans of Dead by Daylight and Prophunt would enjoy playing Propnight. You can purchase Propnight on Steam for $19.99.
