The Developers Vostok Games, was founded by Ukrainian game industry veterans in March 2012 in Kiev, now brings the post-apocalyptic MMO first person shooter Survarium, and announced that the closed beta will be opening up the game for one day only this Friday, April 25th. The game may remind you and have you comparing the post-apocalyptic nature of the game and the free-play mode to the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Which actually the former S.T.A.L.K.E.R developers are actually the ones that are founded with Vostok Games now. After the cancellation of the sequel to S.T.A.L.K.E.R, they created the studio.
For 24 hours on April 25th, everyone will be able to download the beta of Survarium from its website. Once the 24 hours is up, Vostok Games will close down the beta again to be able to get the game ready for full open beta.
Survarium currently is a team-based competitive multiplayer, which Vostok Games plans to add a player-versus-environment mode in the fourth quarter of 2014. The game features a world where the world as you know it, has been reshaped into a place where animals go mad and attack mankind. Where the cities are overrun by overgrown plants and trees. You as a player are in the middle of this chaos, and you have to decide if you as a soldier will fight other soldiers or team up in co-op missions.
Survarium is an online multiplayer that is free-to-play but there is an option for players to pay for a premium account, which gives players the advantages like faster progression and unique items.
Vostok uploaded a lengthy video to people to explain to people what was being done on the inside to be able to prepare for this one-day open beta, plus details on the current state of Survarium.
“Especially for this occasion, we decided to film a video on what currently is going on inside Vostok Games and how the developers get ready for the event,” the studio said today. “In addition, the video will be useful to all who follow the project’s development closely – you will be able to see and hear a lot of news on what’s in works at the moment and to be released with the forthcoming and future game updates. Enjoy!”
