Super Mega Baseball 2 To Finally Release In May

Metalhead Software has officially announced that Super Mega Baseball 2 will finally be releasing at the very beginning of next month after plague of unfortunate delays for the game. The highly-anticipated sequel was initially announced back in fall of 2016; when revealed, the game was said to be slated for a September 2017 release. However, the game was then pushed back due to incomplete features within the title. Within a video showcasing some gameplay, Metalhead co-founder Scott Drader explains some of the improvements and tweaks that they’ve made to certain systems within the game.

He stated that they have added some adjustments to the Ego difficulty setting as well as the“mojo” confidence system. They also added a feature which will allow players to save and resume season games. The studio also commented that since they released the original Super Mega Baseball back in December they’ve experienced how hard it is to sell a baseball game during the winter season. It’s also excellent timing that the MLB season is set to begin as well. All of these factors all contributed to the push for a Spring 2018 release window. The game will launch for the PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One simultaneously.

Cross play will be available across PC and both consoles, but not between the consoles themselves. Metalhead Software will also be bringing some add ons that will include “additional cosmetic customization content.” Players will be able to use this content to change the look of teams, logos, gear any many other aspects they see fit. Super Mega Baseball 2 will finally be available on May 1.
