One of the video game communities most revered protagonists is back. Kazuma Kiryu makes his grand return in Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, which has been given the release date of November 9, 2023. We also got a gameplay reveal trailer, albeit fairly brief, it shows Kiryu doing what he does best, kicking some serious butt!
As you can see in the trailer above, the title goes back to the series roots with the action brawler beat em up style. This was changed to the RPG mechanic that we know now with Yakuza 7: Like a Dragon, but in Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, you’ll be button mashing all day just like the good old days. Kiryu is seen using a plethora of new abilities, such as being able to pull in enemies like a magnet, and then pummeling them into submission. The studio has their own showcase set for next week on June 16, where we will find out a lot more in regards to this title, and Yakuza 8.
