Alan Wake II easily one of the most anticipated titles of 2023, and at long last we have some gameplay take a gander at. Presented by none other than Remedy’s Sam Lake, Alan Wake II’s gameplay trailer has us shaking in our boots, it looks that scary. We see both protagonists, yes both, Saga Anderson and the titular Alan Wake. The trailer is filled to the brim with jump scares, as well as taking a look at some of the recourse management, and some of the absolutely horrifying enemies that we will for sure be seeing in our nightmares.
Lake also mentioned that players will be able to switch between Wake and Anderson as their individual stories appear to be intertwined, making this narrative that much more unique and ambitious. The trailer itself is focused more on Anderson as we see her in the over-the-shoulder perspective that most of us are used to at this point. She explores a gritty and shadowy environment which is very much in line with the original Alan Wake. Anderson is see being blown away by an unseen force, and then takes on what can only be described as a deer headed monster on two legs. Literally the stuff of nightmares.
Alan Wake II will officially launch on October 17, 2023.
