Suda51’s Let It Die Has a New Trailer; Will be Playable at PAX East

It has been almost two years since we first heard of Suda51’s Let It Die back at E3 2014, when it was originally named Lily Bergamo.  Today a new video has been released showing us the progress that has been made on the game, as well as the announcement that Let It Die will be playable at PAX East 2016 in Boston.  The event will take place between April 22nd and April 24th.

Let It Die is described as a asynchronous, free-to-play, survival action game.  The asynchronous part means that the enemies that you fight in Let It Die will use other online player’s data, and after you defeat them you take the other player’s weapons and clothes.  As explained by executive producer Kazuki Morishita, “The trademark Grasshopper visual and narrative flair remains a signature for the title.”  So we can expect a lot of cartoon blood and over-the-top violence.

This will be the first game from Grasshopper Manufacture after the studio was acquired from Puzzle and Dragons publisher GungHo Online, as well as their first PS4 game.  Although there was little gameplay shown in the trailer, we can grasp some kind of idea of what the game will be like.  The character shown in the video is down to just his underwear, so defeating enemies to get their clothes seems to be a big part of the game.  We also see the character eating a rat, which might mean that the game doesn’t give you much time to live, so you’ve got to act fast and take what you can get.  The screenshots we have show a character that’s much more heavily armored as well as having many different weapons, probably acquired from other players.

We’ll uncover more info on Let It Die when it’s available at PAX East later this month.
