Finals Week developed and published by Studio Cimosa, released its announcement trailer on YouTube earlier in the week. The new game will be a “cheating simulator” where players “try to survive the final week of exams. Steal answers, elude the teacher, and use every tool in your cheating arsenal to graduate from school without studying a single page,” according to Steam. From its description it’s no surprise Finals Week is “A co-op” game “where you and your friends” can band together to experience the joys of cheating, however, the game can also be played individually. So far, the game seems to only be on Steam but that might be subject to change.
The Trailer starts with the player trying to cheat, they look to their friend in the seat next to them, but as their friend tells them the answer their teacher hits the friend with what looks like a bomb, but is actually noted to be an “eraser” thanks to Steam, and their friend collapses. The teacher rages a bit and in desperation the player turns to a person with the words “IDIOT” written on their head, and sighs, realizing their chances are probably hopeless. Then they try different methods to gain test “answers,” such as finding answers hidden in books. However, their teacher seems to have 360 vision, and a second sense for when players sneak after him, and when they enter hidden parts of the library.
You can try to see classmates’ answers, but some choose to hide their work. There’s also a phone where one can get answers, as long as the teacher doesn’t find out. There are various methods to try out such as getting notes from other students, but there are also punishments like wearing a “cone” and more. Your character is customizable and it seems that you can write on players’ heads. You can try to gain access to the teacher’s drawers as well as secret parts of the library, or spend time tossing a basketball and graffitiing the walls. You can also hit other players! Take school pictures, play pranks and more.
