Strike Vector Half-Off Now, New Co-Op Mode Coming Next Month

Arena first person shooter Strike Vector, from the developer Ragequit Corporation, launched earlier this year and intends to continue adding more free content into the predictable future. Also the update fixes a few bugs experienced during gameplay. Each month there will be new maps, new mode for free, which was decided to make all DLC for free, which Ragequit Corporation co-founder Jeremy Chaïeb told Joystiq today at PAX East 2014. If you are currently at PAX East and haven’t visited yet, you can find them at the Indie Megabooth. Strike Vector is currently discounted on Steam at 50 percent off for $12.49, which ends April 16th.

Strike Vector will remind you of old school arena shooters like Quake III and Unreal Tournament, but still has a lot of freedom in movement during gameplay meaning that you can get from A to B in any direction you would like. There was a new map that was shown today, and the next mode added to Strike Vector is a co-op experience with six players against AI. There is a new solo challenge mode, which contains 20 quick challenges. During these challenges, you need to go through gates in order to get to the finish line, and some gates will require you to do various challenges like shooting targets, before you can pass through them. During every challenge, test your reflexes and skills as you see how you rank on both the friend and world leaderboards.

The Jet fighter you fly in is called the Vector, which is the latest hyper-speed VTOL and also can be customized with two different weapons and have your own stylized skin. There are two modes while you fly the Vector, it has jet mode, which lets you reach high-speed, intercept opponents and then there is stationary mode, where you hold and defend a location while striking others from all directions. Current game modes are bounty hunter, team deathmatch, team domination, and deathmatch, plus more to come. Some of the environments that you play in are the Flying Oil Fields, Rusty Fields, and The Slum District.
