As is tradition with new Street Fighter characters, though honestly it feels like a welcome trend that it’s become widespread among any fighting game with DLC, a video guide on Youtube giving you the basics for the latest Street Fighter 6 character, Elena, is now live on Youtube.
As you can see, some of Elena’s classic moves have returned from her previous appearances such as Rhino Horn and Scratch Wheel and, yes, Healing. As rumored, Elena’s Healing is her level 2 in this game, with her level 3 being a more generic damage super. Being a level 2 means Elena will almost definitely be able to heal every round, but the amount of health healed is minimal and committing yourself to performing level 2s all game prevent you from using a high damaging level 3 ever so it’s unlikely that Healing will kill Street Fighter 6 in the same way it did Street Fighter 4. However, Healing was pretty innocuous when it was first introduced in Street Fighter 4 as well so anything’s possible…
But that’s enough fear mongering! Elena also has a new sway move called Lynx Song that makes her projectile invincible during the duration and allows her to close the gap meterless and gives her a variety of options as she’s coming out of the move, the most notable being Mallet Smash, another classic Elena move. Out of a Lynx Song Elena can perform a Lynx Whirl, which empowers the other options she gets out of her Lynx Song. Mallet Smash and Leopard Snap, two options Elena has out of Lynx Song, are normally safe on block but actually become plus on block after a Lynx Whirl. Of course, the OD version of Lynx Song gives you the benefits of Lynx Whirl immediately which, considering how powerful a gap-closing plus on block move is in Street Fighter 6 will definitely be an option to look out for.
If you like what you see out of this Elena guide then look forward to her release for Street Fighter 6 on June 5th, 2025 only a few weeks away!
