Well it’s been a long time coming. Capcom’s Street Fighter 6 isn’t exactly known for having very many announcements, going months between real news provided to the flagship fighting game IP. This morning during the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, Street Fighter announced the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Street Fighter 6, featuring new cover art with DLC characters Ed, Elena, Bison, Akuma, and Rashid front and center.

But what many people don’t know is that a key render for Elena, the final DLC character for Street Fighter 6’s Season 2, was leaked mere days before.
Featuring a new design, Elena was a beloved character during Street Fighter III: Third Strike (and a menace in Ultra Street Fighter 4). Of course, that’s just a render, however it is a bit of a spoiler for how she’ll look once she returns sometime in the spring of this year.
As for what was actually revealed at the Nintendo Direct, as stated Street Fighter 6 will be getting a Nintendo Switch 2 port in the form of Street Fighter 6: Fighter’s Edition.

Street Fighter 6: Fighter’s Edition will launch June 5th of this year, Elena’s release date is still a mystery but it should be soon as well. If you’re someone who is constantly on the go (like say, a Japanese salaryman) then this new release is probably a dream for you.
