We’re only a few weeks away from one of the most anticipated titles of the year and the hype is about to hit a fever pitch. Street Fighter 6 is set to launch on June 2 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/Series S, and PC and will bring about an entirely new way to play fighting games online. However, just before it becomes fully available, Capcom has decided to give everyone another chance to test out the game. The company has announced that they will be conducting another beta test for the title, an open one this time, which will commence from May 19-21.

For those who want to participate, Capcom is requiring players to register a Capcom ID on the open beta site and link their respective platform in anticipation of huge traffic of people wanting to play online. The beta will also support cross-play, enabling players to play against those with different consoles and make the airway for internet play that much more accessible. There will be a total of eight playable fighters to choose from. This includes Luke, Jamie, Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, Kimberly, Juri, and Ken. In addition, there will also be six different levels to fight in, including Luke, Jamie, Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, Kimberly, Juri, and Ken.
The beta will have a fair amount of modes to choose from, such as Battle Hub Match, Extreme Battle, Tournaments, Challenges, and the Hub Goods Shop to name a few. Players can also create an avatar for the Battle Hub, which is Street Fighter 6’s massive online interconnective multiplayer mode. Keep in mind that you will not be able to save, load, or transfer the avatar made in the beta into the main game when it launches next month. This will be the third beta test, and the first fully open as the previous two were closed beta tests. As far as we can tell, this open test is almost identical as the 2nd closed one from this past December, with some extra features thrown in. Still, having one more chance to try the game out just before it releases is a great way to further entice the fan base, as well as make some alterations and last-minute touches to ensure a much smoother launch.
Street Fighter 6 will officially launch on June 2 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/Series S, and PC through Steam.
