Strayed Lights is an upcoming action-adventure game being developed by Embers. In this stunning world, players will play as a light that is seeking to grow stronger. Embers posted a gameplay trailer showcasing the battle system. Alex, the creative director at Embers discusses in the trailer the kind of content people can expect to see on this project.
In this fast-paced combat game, the quest will take players to a mysterious dream-like world. The journey of the stray light begins here. Filled with color and luminous scenery, and ruins to explore players will play as a tiny light and as they explore, there will be inner demons to challenge. In order to fight them, the light of the players must match that of the enemy they are fighting. Players will have to shift between blue and orange to be in sync with opponents. Parry attacks to absorb the power of your foe and grow stronger. There are some corrupted energy in the color purple that can not be parried and must be dodged, otherwise, you will get hurt. Players will have to wait a bit before being able to synch with the foe. Once players are synched again, they will keep absorbing energy until they are ready to unleash the finishing move and gain a light.
There will be different orbs to collect to unlock hidden powers and abilities such as enhanced speed, dodging, and larger attack radius. The upgrades and new abilities will be needed to take on challenging foes. The bosses in this game are entities who are corrupted by their emotions. With the different abilities players can unlock, it is up to them to use their skills to soothe the entities and restore balance. Strayed Lights is scheduled to be released on April 25, 2023, and will be available on all modern platforms.
