Stellar Blade Demo Was Live On PSN For A Few Minutes

Playstation Network has a funny habit of accidentally letting details and secrets out of the bag before they’re properly ready to be revealed, it happens every now and then, like with the various presumed leaks of Bandai Namco’s Tekken 8 DLC roster, but this is the first time in a while we have witnessed an entire demo go live prematurely. SHIFT UP’s Stellar Blade, a hotly anticipated South Korean game slated for release on April 26th, 2024, has had numerous discussions about it from its gameplay to its visuals, but the latest talk online is undoubtedly how its demo was released early on PSN just today.

Sadly, the demo was only live for minutes, maybe an hour at best, before being pulled from the store entirely. Though that was more than enough time for many people to jump on to their Playstation 5s and play through the demo in its entirety.

Though there haven’t been very many gameplay videos yet, many players have unlocked a few hidden goods such as an alternate outfit for the main character.

As well as a few of the cutscenes.

Of course, from what few gameplay videos we have been we’ve seen a boss fight, and undoubtedly action gamers will be dissecting the gameplay to see exactly what makes the game tick, if they didn’t get to download the game themselves.

Sadly it seems like the Stellar Blade was not only taken down, but completely locked. As long as your PlayStation is connected online you cannot play the demo, even if it’s already been downloaded.

But remember the old adage, “once something’s on the internet it’s there forever”, and a leaked demo certainly isn’t going to slip through the cracks. Keep an eye on Youtube and Twitter for the next few days as combo videos and no hit runs of the demo are almost sure to be put online, and also keep Stellar Blade’s full release in mind on April 26th of this year, for the PlayStation 5.

I hope my history in this hobby and my enthusiasm for writing helps me convey news to you accurately and succinctly.
