Steam Summer Sale is an annual event on gaming platform Steam where many games are heavily discounted. For two weeks, following a theme, the biggest deals of the year arrive. This year, the event will occur soon after Amazon’s Prime Day, which was on June 21st. It will also be conveniently close to the Steam Next Fest, going from June 16-22nd, which will showcase many new games and demos to be available on Steam. The dates for this extensive sale are not officially released in advance, but they can be predicted and leaked with a good amount of accuracy. According to a leaked email sent to Valve partners, sent in April, the Steam Summer Sale in 2021 will be from June 24 to July 8.
Valve sent out an email to partners announcing the @Steam Summer Sale 2021 dates, confidentially of course.
Since the partners already leaked it, the sale will run from June 24th until July 8th.

Steam Database is a website that collects all Steam leaks, and has proven itself in the past to be a reliable source of date predictors. In fact, it actually correctly predicted the Lunar New Year Sale earlier in 2021. Despite their accuracy, however, it is still reliant on leaked data, and gamers will not get to know for sure when the next Steam Summer Sale is until it happens.
In this sale event, many games including big names offer some sort of price reduction. Last year, these reductions included the Jackbox Party Pack 6, Tabletop Simulator, Outer Wilds, and Rainbow Six Siege, all wildly popular games. There will also be cosmetics that relate to the theme that changes each year, including trading cards. When describing their sales, Steam highlights the features of Daily Deals, Flash Sales, and Community Choice Voting, so there is never a down day during the sale event.
