The small town of Pine Creek is nestled within the vast Appalachian Mountains of Pennsylvania. It’s home to a rich past where abandoned mines and forgotten facilities haunt the few townspeople left here. By all accounts, Pine Creek is just another unknown town, a perfect place to raise a family and enjoy a relaxing trip. The choice to take the journey here during an Autumn weekend in 1986 was not random, it was curated by your wife who grew up here. What was supposed to be a tranquil getaway quickly begins to take a dark turn.
Driving into town, a radio broadcast catches your attention. It isn’t about something mundane like the forecast, but about a series of strange disappearances that span decades; odd for such a small town in the middle of nowhere. When the sky goes dark and night creeps up on the cabin you and your wife are staying in, Pine Creek is no longer the town it was during the day. Unexplained things begin to happen around you, strange lights blanket the sky and feel as though they are watching. After giving your wife’s uncle a hand at his farm upon his request, you go back to the cabin and find your wife is missing, but so is her pager.
Desperate to find her, you spend the night following the faint signal her pager gives off, leading you further into the Appalachian woods and farther away from town. The people you come across during your search seem off, while some are helpful, others seem to hinder your efforts. The lights in the sky you saw before get brighter the deeper you go into the forest, and you realize you have more company than the residents of Pine Creek. Gray aliens are following your every move and are hunting you down, making you understand there is more to this town than meets the eye.
