A brand new action title known as Romeo is a Dead Man has been announced in a new trailer from developer Grasshopper Manufacture. As the trailer states it is an ““ultra-violent science-fiction” game. As Gematsu reports it is the developers first new property in ten years. The game is slated to launch in 2026.
PlayStation Blog Shares The game follows Romeo Stargazer, who is stuck between life and death. His life was saved seconds before death, trapping him in a paradox by a genius scientist. You will assume the role of this FBI Space-Time agent donning a mask known only as ‘dead gear’ and hunt after space-time’s most wanted. Romeo’s final goal is to search for his missing girlfriend, Juliet.
In the trailer we see traditional melee combat alongside the use of guns. The combat is highly visceral and stylized in the way that blood splatter sprays across the screen. You will travel through subspace on this journey and combat features an insta- kill special from accumulated enemy blood. Grasshopper Manufacture has developed these elements in hopes that players will seek to uncover the truth of Romeo Stargazer’s plight come next year.
