Star Wars Battlefront Next Steps

Annoyed that EA has not added in instant action like the original Star Wars Battlefront games? Well don’t worry cause they have finally listened to the community. On July 21st there will be an update that will allow for offline mode against bots. For Console users this means teaming up with a friend and playing split-screen coop just like the older versions. Because of this new update, a lot more traffic might start up again. This offline mode is called “Skirmish [and] will offer players the ability to play across two of Star Wars Battlefront’s most popular modes on a difficulty level of your choosing.” The two modes available for offline is Walker Assault and Fighter Squadron.

Besides this big update, at Star Wars Celebration Europe they announced the next DLC for Battlefront. This next DLC seems to be there biggest yet and will be out in September. From the trailer seen below, there appears to be space battles along with the famous trench run in Episode 4. With this new DLC a couple new characters have been confirmed by DICE. One is the fan favorite Chewbacca, and the other is the bounty hunter Bossk.

This seems to be the biggest update and DLC that this game will have so far. This update is a must needed one as the community since release has asked for this to happen, so once EA announced that they finally will be implementing an offline couch mode many people rejoiced. With this update coming soon, it will be wise to get the game now off origin as there is a big weekend sale, so the game is now currently half off. Along with these announcements, “the developers also continued looking at the road ahead and announced the official title for our 4th digital expansion: Star Wars™ Battlefront™ Rogue One: Scarif available two weeks early for Season Pass owners. Here is the first look at exclusive concept art for the upcoming expansion pack which continues the battle with heroes from Rogue One: A Star Wars™ Story and explores a new planet from the upcoming film.” This final DLC will tie in to Rogue One so will be interesting to see where it goes.
