The Game Awards is an event for the video game industry, showing appreciation for all of the video games that were released in the past year and its many talented developers. Someone, however, saw it as a different opportunity. At the tail end of the show, right after the developers of ELDEN RING wrapped up their speech after ELDEN RING won Game of the Year, a Stage Crasher went up to the microphone and said “I want to take everybody and say I think I want to nominate my reformed Orthodox rabbi Bill Clinton.” Promptly after everyone was leaving the stage, the invader was taken away.
Didn’t have “Random crasher giving a shoutout to Bill Clinton” on our #GameAwards bingo cards, but okay. pic.twitter.com/Qqzm9zXcQ4

Apparently, the invader talked about his plans while playing Call of Duty: Warzone days earlier. Twitter user @MKUltraMoney wrote that his friend talked about him and his plans. According to the friend, the stage invader is “the same kid who was on Info Wars, the one with the free Taiwan thing.”
I literally got this first message before the kid even said anything. This is wild. pic.twitter.com/tcPSzKpkN3

According to Twiter user @GlitchxCity, the invader walked up and stayed behind the FromSoftware developers and took the stage with them.

After the show ended, Host Geoff Keighley revealed that the stage invader had been arrested.
The individual who interrupted our Game of the Year moment has been arrested.
