There are specific types of game combinations that are so perfect that nine times out of ten they don’t happen. But when they do, they are extremely fun and unforgettable, and it looks like SPINE, a single-player action-focused game that’s a combination of Arkham Batman and Sifu with a Cyberpunk aesthetic sprinkled in to make a high-octane gun-fu game. And if you enjoyed any of these games, you’ll enjoy SPINE, as it’s Nekki’s first console outing but looks to be an instant hit. SPINE is officially set to release in summer 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. And it is available for wishlist on your preferred platform now.
SPINE is a single-player-focused action game that sees you take the role of Redline, a rebellious street artist who resides in Tensor City. The city was built and run by an AI after the ecosystem’s fall; it governs the city through a Social Rating system that determines everything. Now, after a mafia heist goes wrong, Redline’s brother disappears, and she ends up gaining Spine, a sentient combat implant, and sets out to find him. The bread and butter of SPINE is the combat, as it is very reminiscent of Batman: Arkham with its heavy combo orientation and free-flow combat from the series. The game is also built around a cinematic camera that enables high-action sequences and keeps the player engaged throughout. Redline can dodge point blank, parry, steal weapons, disarm her foes, and combo attacks into flashy finishers. The game is essentially an amalgamation of Batman: Arkham, Sifu, and Cyberpunk, with gunfu sprinkled in to create a hell of a good time.
SPINE is Nekki’s first major console title, and it looks to be an impressive action game with a very in-depth combat system and great aesthetics, world, and characters. The game is very stylish and combat-oriented, and looks to be very captivating for many. SPINE is officially set to release in summer 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. And it is available for wishlist on your preferred platform now.
