Special 10th Anniversary DLC Pack Headed to Rock Band 4

A special 10-song DLC pack commemorating the Rock Band series’ 10th anniversary is coming to the fourth main installment next week, composed of tracks from the Rock Band Network.

This upcoming Monday, Nov. 20, marks a decade since Boston, Mass.-based Harmonix released the first Rock Band title for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America. To celebrate the anniversary, the 10-pack will be released for download on Monday instead of Rock Band 4‘s usual Thursday DLC schedule. Rock Band 4 Product Manager Daniel Sussman announced the free song pack today in a blog post.

“It’s our great pleasure to celebrate this history with a release of 10 songs that highlight the diverse talents of the Harmonix network,” Sussman wrote. “Many of you will recognize these songs from the Rock Band Network, which, in many ways, was the defining moment in the story of our commitment to support local and indie bands.”

The Rock Band Network (RBN), which allowed the community to author and submit song charts to Harmonix, was possible through collaboration with Microsoft’s Creator’s Club in 2009. Harmonix officially ended the program in 2014, cutting off future creations and downloads through the network.

When Rock Band 4 released in October 2015, all previous RBN content was unsupported when the series jumped to current generation consoles. RBN tracks will still largely be absent from the overall Rock Band library, although the upcoming pack is set to remedy the absence of 2,121 user-authored songs on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The 10th anniversary pack contains the following:

  • The Acro-Brats – “Hair Trigger”
  • Anarchy Club – “Collide”
  • Bang Camaro – “Blood Red Rock”
  • Bang on a Can All-Stars – “Shadowbang (Head)”
  • Dance for the Dying – “Thug Love”
  • Freezepop – “Doppelgänger”
  • Graveyard BBQ – “Cheat on the Church”
  • Honest Bob and the Factory-to-Dealer Incentives – “Soy Bomb”
  • The Main Drag – “How We’d Look on Paper”
  • Symbion Project – “Exploited & Exposed”
