Many gamers, players, lurkers, and general fans are gearing up for the three-day massive video gaming event to end almost all events, E3 2016. Known for the shorthand moniker, Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) will take place this year from June 14th-June 16th. During this time, major gaming companies and developers–from triple-A devs, indie devs, big name producers, voice actors, artists, and so on–will attend to present the most recent and exciting project they have cooking on the stove. These might be games, consoles, or devices teased earlier int he year, or they might blindside us with a complete surprise–who knows!
Predicted to come out ahead this past year (due to quality PS4 exclusive games, ie: Uncharted 4), Playstation titan company, Sony, has announced the date and time of its highly anticipated press conference at this year’s E3. Not one to break a running streak, Sony will hold their conference (as they always do) on a Monday, the eve bordering the first day of E3–meaning this Monday, June 13th, at 6PM Pacific Standard Time (as E3 traditionally takes place in Los Angeles, California).
The event is not open to the public, with a strict invite only policy–invitations having gone out today. The conference will be held at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles.
Many are already speculating what will be on the announcement agenda–as it remains a complete mystery. Some theorize a definite Playstation VR demo/announcement, an announcement/possible release for the Playstation Neo (otherwise known as the Playstation 4k), or a number of highly anticipated but mysterious PS4 exlcusive games (the main example being Horizon: Zero Dawn).
Meanwhile, other competitors such as Microsoft will be holding theirs also on June 13th–while some such as Electronic Arts (EA) have branched off and away the general crowd of E3, choosing instead to host their own EA exclusive convention, called EA Play held a few days before from June 12th-June 14th.
Whatever Sony has in store for us, we want to hear it!
Be sure to keep your ears to the ground for any news during Sony’s pre-E3 press conference on Monday, June 13th, at 6PM PST.
