Sonic Forces E3 Trailer Reveals Villains

A new trailer for the upcoming Sonic Forces was unveiled at E3 and it presented some new information. As we already knew, playable characters will include Modern Sonic, Classic Sonic and whatever Custom Hero the player comes up with, with the Custom Hero being playable in both 3D and 2D levels. The main thing this new trailer gave us a look at, however, was the game’s many villains.

Unsurprisingly, Dr. Eggman (or Dr. Robotnik, whichever you prefer) makes a return as the game’s main antagonist. However, Eggman has also put together a team of villains from Sonic games past. This villainous team is made up of Metal Sonic, originally from 1993’s Sonic the Hedgehog CD for the Sega CD add-on to the Sega Genesis, Chaos, originally from 1998’s Sonic Adventure for the Dreamcast, Shadow the Hedgehog, originally from 2001’s Sonic Adventure 2 for the Dreamcast, and Zavok, originally from 2013’s Sonic Lost World for the Wii U, 3DS and PC. Furthermore, the team of villains also includes an entirely new villain, made specifically for Sonic Forces. Not much is known about this new villain, not even his/her name or gender. All we really know is that he/she can levitate and telekinetically wield red cubes.

The trailer ends with a symbol of some sort that seems to resemble an infinity sign. No word yet on what this symbol means. Sonic Forces is slated to come out sometime this Holiday season and will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. You can watch the E3 trailer below.
