So Romantic has announced Pin-Crawl, a roguelite dungeon crawler with pinball mechanics, for PC via Steam and consoles. The game was announced today, May 14, 2026, alongside a debut trailer. The release window and specific console platforms has not been announced. Pin-Crawl is single-player and supports Family Sharing.
Players take the role of Morgan, a witch, paired with a companion the Steam page describes as her round, slimy partner Smush. The two travel through dungeons trying to break a spell cast over the villagers by an evil sorceress. Each stage plays out on a pinball table done in pixel art, with Morgan controlling a set of enchanted flippers and Smush serving as the ball moving across the table.
There are two abilities showcased. Dash slows time and gives the player a window to aim Smush before launching him at enemies or hard-to-reach table features. Magic Shot, cast through the flippers, sends a line of damage that connects with whatever it crosses. When the ball stalls against an enemy or a table element, the player can use Magic Shot to strike that spot directly. Spells work alongside both of these and charge as the ball makes contact with the matching feature. According to the Steam page, ramps charge Freeze, Pop-Bumpers charge Regenerate Health, and striking enemies launches an extra ball. Picking up Rune Stones will enhance passive stats and abilities. Some examples are: Dash, Magic Shot, base stats for health, attack, and defense, extra-ball bonuses, and the chance of pulling rare loot.
So Romantic is a micro studio run by Edd Parris, who is based in Taipei. It is the same studio behind the 2022 cyberpunk JRPG Jack Move. The game launched in September 2022 with Parris handling production, design, code, and background art while working alongside freelance artists, writers, and musicians. The studio’s other listed games are Bubble Tennis: Infatuation and Super Pinata Pro.
Pin-Crawl is available to wishlist now on Steam.
