SNK Announces Vice and Mature for KOFXV, Collaborates With Capcom Again to Re-release SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos

SNK has been extremely active as of late. First, the announcement of Garou: City of the Wolves creating a big ripple effect within the fighting game community, as many players are looking for a new fighting game to become their “main” game. But beyond that, SNK has continued support for their current ongoing game, King of Fighters XV, with the announcement of Vice and Mature as DLC yesterday at the massive fighting game tournament, EVO.

Vice and Mature are King of Fighters mainstays, and it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that King of Fighters XV’s roster felt a little emptier without the killer secretaries. With them added, more pieces of the Orochi puzzle are put into place and King of Fighters moves ever onward to SNK’s next big movement. Though speaking of big things from SNK, Vice and Mature aren’t the only things SNK revealed at EVO this weekend. In a strange, yet surprising, pick SNK revealed that SNK vs Capcom: Chaos is now available on Steam with rollback.

SNK vs Capcom wasn’t exactly well liked when it first released, but who knows, a fresh rerelease and being very playable online with rollback may mean that new players pick up the game and find they really enjoy it. More notably, however, between this rerelease and the previous announcement of Fatal Fury’s Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui being characters in Street Fighter 6’s Season 2 DLC, it’s really looking like SNK and Capcom are smoothing things over. In the future there might be a Capcom vs SNK 2 rerelease in the same vein as this SNK vs Capcom: Chaos release, or, and this is probably just very wishful thinking, a Capcom vs SNK 3 could possibly be on the horizon.

Regardless, look forward to playing as Vice and Mature on King of Fighters XV coming this December, or if you can’t wait be sure to try out SNK vs Capcom: Chaos on Steam now.
