The Alpha event for Titan Forge Games and Hi-Rez’s upcoming title SMITE 2 began its fourth and final weekend this Thursday. Participants will see the introduction of two new characters Ares and Susano, and the game’s newest brawling game mode, Arena.
According to the press release, The Greek god of war Ares, enters the fight with the ability to “empower his allies and controlling the battlefield” with his chains. Those chains in particular can stun and slow down enemies.
The Japanese storm god Susano, boasts the fastest speed in the game, and with that speed comes his potential for dealing massive damage in a short time.
SMITE 2 players will gain access to three new cross-gen skins, Mr. Squish Ymir, Goth Gourmet The Morrigan and Cosmic Executioner Thanatos, if they these already own these skins in SMITE and have linked their SMITE 2 account.
Following this fourth weekend event, the Alpha will be closed until it’s Closed Alpha begins on August 27. Players can gain access to the closed Alpha through registering on the official website, the SMITE 2 Steam page or purchasing the Founder’s Edition on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox and Epic Games Store.
