Skull And Bones Eyeing An Early 2024 Release Date According To Former Ubisoft Singapore Director

Ubisoft has had its open-world pirate game, Skull And Bones, in development hell for a very long time. With multiple delayed release dates and conflicting reports that the game might have been scrapped altogether, players’ hopes to get their hands on the open world of the seven seas’ were dwindling quickly. That is until just yesterday when on the way out Ubisoft Singapore Director, Darryl Long said in a Ubisoft Toronto event that players could expect to finally get their hands on Skull And Bones in early 2024 according to Yahoo! News. More specifically the New Ubisoft Toronto Director said that they were aiming for a January to March release of the newest IP.

This has many fans that still have anticipation for the title more excited than ever as that means the title will only launch in a couple of months, the curious thing is that there has been no official announcement from any of Ubisoft’s social platforms and there has been no semblance of a trailer for the game in over a year. With the initial announcement of the game coming over 6 years ago at E3 2017. On top of the lack of information regarding updates on the game, players who have had hands-on experience with the game mention that it can be tedious, something much related to many of Ubisoft’s open-world games. There has been concern for some time that the title will only be the ship fighting system from Assassin’s Creed Black Flag with more gimmicks and so far there hasn’t been much evidence to discredit that.

If all goes well, this would mean that Ubisoft would be releasing two massive games within a 2 to 4-month window, them being Avatar Frontiers Of Pandora and Skull And Bones. With potentially Star Wars Outlaws joining the slate or release titles that will be launched within the first four months of the year. Either way, the beginning of 2024 will be a very interesting beginning to the year for the gaming industry.
