Indie developer Sigtrap and publisher Mastertronic are proud to announce their latest project Sublevel Zero. This low poly graphic game is set to release this summer for PC, Linux, and Mac.
Set out on your journey to travel throughout underground tunnels while you loot and craft ancient technology that is dependent upon your clan’s survival. Sublevel Zero’s first person, six degree of freedom (6DoF) shooting adventure is set in a scant universe “where reality is falling apart”. Man your gunship as you set forth to unearth minerals, battle foes, and navigate through the various 3D levels.
Sublevel Zero is inspired by several gaming classics such as Forsaken, Descent, and contemporary shooter game Teleglitch. The combat driven game is based off modern crafting and looting. As you progress further into this 3D labyrinth, battling enemies and turrets becomes a game of careful calculated strategy. Each shot and decision you make becomes crucial to your survival in this underground world. The entire game is structured around survival and tactics, since ammunition is scarce. You have the advantage to use all angles and directions to fly and face off against enemies, but remember to make those shots count since there are no saves in the game.
The art style of Sublevel Zero is a mixture of modern and retro elements. Music composer Will Bedford beautifully combines those elements to bring you the soundtrack that brings Sublevel’s gameplay experience to life. To further enhance this gaming experience, Oculus Rift is supported throughout the entire game to encounter the fast paced action up close and personal.
There is no official date yet but developers of the game are ecstatic to share the experience with you.
Building the game has been an amazing experience so far, with overwhelmingly positive responses from fellow gamers. It is very humbling and it’s great to finally reveal our progress. – Sigtrap Artist Gary Lloyd
While the game is still a work in progress, it is definitely one to keep your eyes on this year. Sublevel Zero will be released this summer on Steam. Please stay tuned for future updates.
