See Something Wrong, Click It. Just Make Sure You’re Right: VCR83 Official Gameplay Trailer

Developer Tarba Paul Cornel just released a new look into their game VCR83, a surveillance based game where your job is to spot the anomalies in each tape.

You will take on the task of navigating through a classic Windows XP inspired interface. Here, you will do a multitutde of tasks, all ranging from intense to mundane.

The main focus of the VCR83 is to look through video files and simply click on things that don’t seem normal, “See something wrong, click it. Just make sure you’re right.” These could be floating items or even apparitions of monstrous humanoid creatures stalking the subjects of the videos. The only thing you can do is watch as the fates of those recorded unfold, there isn’t much you can do for them anymore. Some files can give you insight into what to expect somewhat, with file names such as “DONTWATCH.mkv”, you can only assume the worst is to come.

Take closers looks at what you find with the “Ghost Shell Photo Viewer” application to truly get an understanding of what you are witnessing. Don’t forget to pass your evaluations to ensure you have a grasp of who you can trust and who seems like a threat.

This job isn’t all bad, though. You can pass the time playing mini games like slots, install programs onto your PC, and save mysteriously encryptided files. Go through emails that will leave you unsettled and browse websites such as “Hail Satan Hub”,at least at this time you aren’t in danger–hopefully.

On your shifts, you’ll never be alone. Pete the Bunny, your virtual assistant, will be with you every step of the way. He is there to help through a chat box where you can type questions and get responses. Pete is there to entertain and keep you company, often times reacting to the outcomes of each shift; he’s interested in your job, “Maybe a little too interested.”

Wishlist VCR83 now on Steam, and play the demo if you’re ready to take up the job.

Laurie Rose Contreras: Hi everyone! I'm Laurie. I love video games of all kinds, but especially horror. Being immersed into a different world feels like a mini vacation for the mind, even if it is being chased by zombies or some sort of abstract monster.
