After teasing reveal last week, a new Saints Row game has officially been revealed. It is a complete, new reimagining of the series with new characters and a new world. The game will feature the same over-the-top nature that the series is known for but it has been dialed down to be a bit more grounded than the previous entries. Saints Row launches on February 25, 2021, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Saints Row takes place in the American South West in a new city called Santo Ileso – a melting pot of big city business and darkened alley street crime, the perfect place to start a new criminal empire with the biggest and best playground that developer Volition has ever created. Santo Ileso features nine unique districts surrounded by the vast, majestic beauty of the Southwest Desert. The story involves the birth of the Saints as players will work block by block to take over the city waging war against enemy factions as you work to tighten your grip on the streets with ingenious criminal ventures.
Players will take on the role of the boss that you can customize however you want with the most extensive character customization that the series has ever seen. You can utilize all types of weapons such as revolvers, rocket launchers, melee heavyweights, complete with brutal takedowns. Players can also traverse Santo Ileso in a variety of ways from cars, bikes, planes, helicopters, VTOLs, hoverbikes, hoverboards, go-karts, and even with a wingsuit. Saints Row also features seamless drop-in/drop-out co-op so you can experience everything with a friend if you want.
