It’s been a good amount of time, over two years since fans last heard any news about incoming games for the Saints Row series, but that seems to be about to change. Gamescom host Geoff Keighley tweeted a teaser earlier today featuring the word “rebooting” tagged on the wall with the Saints Row fleur-de-lis symbol. Also in the tweet, Keighley referenced one of the characters with the word “bossing,” and made it clear that something is to occur on the opening night of Gamescom.
5 days until @gamescom #OpeningNightLive on Wednesday.
We are “Bossing” it with our announcements this year 👀 https://t.co/osudHTCxj1

The official Saints Row Twitter account was quick to retweet the teaser, and the image is now featured on the website as well, bearing multiple changes. Gamescom begins on Wednesday, August 23, at 11 am PT, and along with the presumed Saints Row premiere will feature 7 other world premiers for new games. Not much else is really known about this upcoming Saints Row game, other than that it has been in development for a while with several different companies.
The last game in the series to come out was Saints Row 4, which was launched 8 years ago in 2013, so a new game (and it has been confirmed to be a new game- not a remaster or remake) has been some time coming. Fans should take care to keep an eye out for more news, although until Wednesday it seems as though company THQ Nordic will remain tight-lipped.
