Back in June 2021, during the PC Gaming Show, a 90s-inspired RPG by a small Polish team that had released the successful Regalia: Of Men and Monarchs was shown off. The game quickly gained popularity, but little was known about when it would launch, as a Kickstarter campaign was launched alongside the game to fund it. But now, about 5 years later, we finally get the first official trailer for the RPG SacriFire. No official release date has been confirmed, only that it will be released in 2026. And you can wishlist the game now on Steam and GOG.
With no official release date for SacriFire, many are left waiting in anticipation for this new game, as it looks to be a big hit in the indie scene and is building itself out as a standout in the realm of JRPGs. In recent years, JRPGs have experienced a resurgence in popularity, with major titles such as Clair Obscur Expedition 33 and the Persona franchise. It’s nice to see more titles joining the space, though the biggest problem with most JRPGs is that players fail to finish them due to how much time you have to sink into them, but 9 times out of 10, it’s worth it, as they are journeys that change how you perceive life and games; it’s a beautiful thing. SacriFire is currently available to be wishlisted on Steam and GOG, so if you’re interested in the title, that’s where you can find it.
